Infared Sauna

What are the benefits of infared sauna therapy?

  • Detoxification Through Sweat - eliminating heavy metals, environmental chemicals, and other pollutants from the body. Infared is different from traditional saunas in that it works from the core of the body then to the exterior.

  • Improved Circulation - Infared causes blood vessels to dilate (vasodilation), enhancing blood flow. This increases circulation and helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the tissues while removing metabolic waste more efficiently.

  • Chronic Pain Reduction - Infared has been shown to reduce chronic pain, muscle soreness, and stiffness in conditions like arthritis, and fibromyalgia by reducing inflammation and improving blood flow!

  • Skin Rejuvination - Infared heat promotes increased blood flow and collagen production, which can help reduce wrinkles, improve skin elasticity, and clear up acne!

Are there contraindications to Infared Sauna?

  • Pregnancy

  • Cardiovascular Conditions (uncontrolled blood pressure)

  • Bleeding disorders

  • Severe Skin Conditions

Cold Plunge

What are the benefits of Cold Plunging?

  • Reduces Inflammation - Cold water immersion is known to reduce inflammation through vasoconstriction, which limits swelling and tissue breakdown.

  • Boosts Circulation & Immune Response - Exposure to cold water stimulates the vascular system, increasing the heart rate, and improving blood circulation. Over time, regular cold plunging can enhance vascular function and strengthen the immune response.

  • Natural Cortisol Dump - The shock of cold water triggers the release of endorphins, adrenaline, and norepinephrine (neurochemicals associated with elevated mood and mental clarity)

How long do I need to stay in?

  • Research is showing for therapeutic benefits, between 2 - 5 minutes of immersion is ideal. For beginners, starting with 30 seconds to 1 minutes is recommended. Athletes or experienced users can extend up to 10 minutes approached with caution and awareness of bodily signals.

What are the contraindications of Cold Plunging?

  • Reynaud's Disease

  • Open Wounds/infections

  • Hypersensitivity to Cold

  • Peripheral Vascular Disease

  • Epilepsy

  • Neuropathy

PEMF Therapy

What are the benefits of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy?

  • Enhanced Cellular Repair & Recovery - Pemf therapy enhances the body's natural recovery processes by boosting cellular function and repair. The electromagnetic pulses penetrate tissues, encouraging cells to produce more energy (ATP) which accelerates healing.

  • Pain Relief - PEMF is highly affective for pain management and reducing inflammation, particularly in conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic back pain. The electromagnetic pulses help to decrease inflammatory cytokines and increase circulation.

  • Supports Bone Health & Healing - PEMF therapy has been widely studied for its role in accelerating bone healing and improving bone density. It's particularly effective for fractures, osteoperosis, and post-surgical recovery.

Are there contraindications to PEMF?

  • Pregnancy

  • Pacemakers & other electronic implants

  • Bleeding disorders

  • Epilepsy

Assisted Stretching

What are the benefits of Assisted Stretching?

  • Increased Flexibility and Range of Motion - Stretching can help lengthen muscles, improve alignment, and reduce tightness, leading to better posture, more efficient movement, and enhanced athletic performance.

  • Injury Prevention - By improving flexibility and muscle balance, assisted stretching can reduce the risk of strains, sprains, and other soft tissue injuries, especially during physical activities.

  • Reduced Muscle Tension - Assisted stretching helps relax tense muscles and relieve tight areas, which can reduce discomfort from everyday stress, physical activity, or conditions like back pain and sciatica.

  • Stress Reduction - The physical relaxation from stretching, combined with deep breathing and mindfulness elements, can reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being.

  • Better Blood Circulation - Stretching promotes increased blood flow to muscles, which can aid in recovery, reduce muscle soreness, and enhance nutrient delivery to tissues.

What are the contraindications of Assisted Stretching?

  • Acute injury or trauma

  • Severe osteoporosis

  • Recent surgery

  • Joint instability or hypermobility syndromes

  • Active infections or inflammation

  • Severe cardiovascular issues

Salt Float Therapy

What are the benefits of Salt Float Therapy?

  • Deep Relaxation & Stress Reduction - The sensory deprivation environment (quiet, dark, weightless) reduces external stimuli, promoting profound mental calm.

  • Muscle Recovery & Pain Relief - The Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) helps reduce muscle soreness and inflammation, and the buoyancy relieves pressure on joints and spine.

  • Enhanced Mental Clarity & Focus - Reduced sensory input can help calm the mind, improve concentration, and even enhance creativity.

  • Increased Magnesium Absorption - Soaking in Epsom salt may allow magnesium absorption through the skin, which can support muscle function and reduce cramps (though scientific support is still evolving).

Are there contraindications to Salt Float Therapy?

  • Open wounds or skin infections

  • Epilepsy (uncontrolled)

  • Kidney problems or heart conditions

  • Low blood pressure (hypotension)
